Ever since I received an 'electric shock' after curiously sticking my fingers into a lamp holder at the age of 10, I have been intrigued by electricity. The opportunity to commence my Electrical Apprenticeship at the age of 16 came about and I have never looked back. At the age of 24, I achieved my goal of setting up an electrical contracting business.
I have put a lot of focus and energy into ensuring ANE Electrics holds a strong presence in the industry. Leading a young team in a competitive market place has its own challenges, however by guiding our apprentices though the early years of their career and helping the development of the industry I am still working toward my main goal.
I have 7 years experience as a Service Manager in which I developed great relationships with
clients. I implemented and set up the field service management app whilst completing my
Diploma in Accounting and becoming a BAS Agent.
I love being in this industry as it allows me to learn and grow continuously, develop new
relationships with clients as well as working with a great team of supportive people.
My goals are to assist in growing the business & streamline processes to maximise growth in
the business.
I have been a part of the ANE team for the last 9 years and really love the people I work with and enjoy the environment I work in. I aspire to set up and run a new inventory system.
My biggest achievement while working at ANE is organising connection of power and ensuring all materials are organised and onsite for all our major projects and taking over the warehouse management and stock control for all outgoing material orders.
I have always enjoyed working in a job that challenges me both personally and professionally, I chose to be an electrician because the industry challenges me on a daily basis. My career goals are to grow ANE's Service Department and to fully manage the process from the office while still growing the service team to coordinate field jobs.
I have two achievements in my career that I am very proud of firstly, becoming a fully qualified electrician and secondly, becoming ANE Electrics Service Manager.
Obtaining my A grade and REC licence was a great achievement for me at 22 years old, now 10 years later I still enjoy the electrical trade furthering my skills and keeping up to date with the ever changing trade and electrical regulations.
Working across a variety of jobs I have had the opportunity working on the small jobs like an additional power point to the large scale workshops entailing CT metering and three phase power through out, with no two jobs the same it gives a great sense of pride completing a job and signing off on the electrical certification at the end.
The electrical trade originally drew me in for the security of a licensed trade, and I locked myself in after falling in love with the variety of work, the theory behind the work and the work itself.
My goals after becoming licensed are to continue happily working with ANE whilst running my own company on the side to help people and communities affected by natural disasters and those less fortunate.
I chose this career as it was to have a better work life balance with my kids and family, and I enjoy hands on practical work.
My biggest achievement would be completing all my studies successfully so far.
One day I hope to achieve running my own successful business.
I chose to be an electrician as I have always had an interest in how things work.
My career goal is to continue to provide the best quality and experiences for our clients.
My biggest achievement would be running multiple jobs for builders.
Transitioning from a background in theatre and events technology to the electrical trade as an apprentice. I have found a more stable yet equally dynamic environment with abundant opportunities for problem-solving and continuous learning.
My experience in programming has cultivated a deep interest in the innovative automation aspects of the electrical trade. I am eagerly anticipating the evolution of sustainable and smart innovations, eager to capitalize on this burgeoning field.
Throughout my apprenticeship, I've had the privilege to lead commercial underground works and contribute to estimating multi-million dollar contracts. These experiences have not only enhanced my technical skills but have also provided invaluable insights for future endeavours.
I chose the electrical industry so I can mentally challenge myself and push myself to improve every day.
My career goals are to become a qualified A Grade electrician and to start my own business. My biggest acheivement so far would be successfully completing year 12 VCE.
